The Punjab government has opened registration for the “CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025,” which aims to give worthy students 110,000 laptops of the newest generation.
The program is available to matriculated and intermediate students and offers 2,000 computers for minority students.
Students will get 13th generation laptops with Core i7 processors as part of this program. Twenty thousand university students, fourteen thousand college students, four thousand technical and agricultural college students, and two thousand medical and dental college students would all receive the computers.
It is anticipated that 32% of the awardees will be South Punjabi students. Students pursuing degrees in computer science, medicine, engineering, social sciences, business, and agriculture will be given the computers.
Eligible students must apply online at cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk in order to register for the program.
A resident of any district in Punjab, enrollment in the first or second semester of a bachelor’s degree program at a public university or college, and fulfillment of minimum grade requirements—such as at least 65% for public sector universities or 80% for medical and dental colleges—are among the eligibility requirements.
After Ramadan 2025, the laptop distribution is anticipated to start, with ceremonies organized by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in a number of locales.
The distribution is anticipated to occur in April or May 2025, and the first shipment of laptops has already reached Pakistan.
